Robert “Rob” Winebrenner Jr. was born on January 23, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio. He is the sixth child of Robert “Bob” Sr. and Rita Winebrenner.
His father, Bob Winebrenner, was a civil engineer who served in the United States Army during WWII. He received a Bronze Star Medal and citation for gallantry during the Battle of the Bulge, as well as three battle stars for his service in the Ardennes, Colmar Pocket, and Rhineland battles.
Bob died in 2011, leaving behind his wife, six children, including Rob, and their spouses and children.
Rob Winebrenner’s Professional Career
Rob Winebrenner is a retired Barberton Police officer.
He attended the University of Akron after graduating from Barberton High School.
Before retiring, he worked as a police officer in Barberton, he appears to have joined his late father’s surveying firm.

Rob Winebrenner previously married Laura Winebrenner, his high school sweetheart. She died in 2009 after a battle with ovarian cancer.

Kenen Ivery’s behaviour escalated, prompting Winebrenner and another individual to intervene and escort him out of the restaurant. Tragically, amidst the altercation, gunfire erupted, resulting in the tragic death of the 32-year-old. He is survived by his fiancée and daughter. Subsequently, Ivery was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Since October 7, 2021, Robin Swoboda and Rob Winebrenner have been exclusive. The former WKYC anchor disclosed in August 2021 that she was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time and is presently receiving treatment.
The former 3News anchor recalled, laughing,
“There’s this handsome guy, and you know, I think he’s flirting with me,”
Adding,
“He did say, ‘Would you like to go out sometime?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m chubby, I have white hair, I’m in my 60s, I have cancer. Do you want to go out with me?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, I do.'”
The couple just acknowledged their connection on WKYC. According to their social media posts, they have been inseparable.
Swoboda’s chemotherapy has been accompanied by Winebrenner. He even saved her life by obtaining her medical care quickly when she had a terrible response to her first round of chemo.
Robin Swoboda was married
Swoboda formerly married veteran NFL player Bryan Wagner, with whom she had two boys, Matthew and William, as well as a daughter, Hallie. In 2015, they divorced.
