Since the first season of the Japanese anime Yuri!!! On Ice premiered on October 6, 2016, and fans have been eagerly anticipating the second season. Here’s everything we know so far.
The first season of this anime series told the story of Yuri, a Japanese figure skater who had lost faith in his abilities.
He was taken under the wing of legendary champion Victor Nikiforov, who was mentoring another Russian skater named Yuri at the time. The anime focused on the two Yuris competing in the Figure Stake Grand Prix and Victor’s blossoming relationship with the Japanese Yuri.
The first season of the series had 12 episodes, written and created by Mitsur Kubo and Sayo Yamamoto, and developed by Maruyama Animation Produce Project Association, or MAPPA animation company for short.
The first season ended on December 22, 2016, and not even a year later, a special episode – Yuri!!! on Ice: Yuri Plisetsky GPF in Barcelona EX – was released. Hello and welcome to The Madness.

What Do Fans Think About The Upcoming Season 2?
Victor and Yuri’s relationship has left all fans wanting more. They want to know where Victor and Yuri’s adventures will take them. Fans have taken to Twitter to express their thoughts on Season 2.
Even though the release dates for both Yuri!!! on Ice the Movie: Ice Adolescence and Yuri!!! on Ice season 2 has not been officially announced, but we can still expect them to be released soon because the movie is already in production and the creator Yamamoto has hinted that it is not canceled and that the story of Yuri!!! on Ice is not over.
Is Season 2 on The horizon?
MAPPA had been working on a movie Yuri!!! on Ice the Movie: Ice Adolescence after broadcasting a special episode. According to Screenrant, the second season has been postponed as a result of this. Having said that, the film has not yet been released. However, the movie’s official website did post a notice regarding the film’s production status, stating that the production is still ongoing to further enrich the film and thus has not reached the stage where they can announce the release date.
With all of these production setbacks, the studio has yet to make any announcements about the second season of Yuri!!! on Ice. MAPPA has also failed to include the series in its “coming soon” section. However, the teaser trailer for Yuri!!! On Ice Season 2 was included in the Blu-ray copies of the first series. It featured Russian Yuri showcasing his skills and performing a new skating routine. This, of course, is insufficient to provide a plot for season 2, but we can expect the rivalry between these two Yuris to continue.http://

When asked about the next step in the story, Yamamoto told Otaquest that they’d be lying if they said it was over, and they couldn’t, wouldn’t, and refused to stop.
I truly believe that the story of Yuri!!! on Ice was summarized throughout its 12 episodes, but I’d be lying if I said it was finished. [Laughter]… We cannot, will not, and will not stop!
