Rose Bundy is the daughter of Ted Bundy, the late serial killer, and his ex-wife, Carole Ann Boone. Ted’s infamous rampage against at least 30 women and children in the 1970s has been studied for decades. It is still unclear exactly how many people Bundy murdered. According to some, the true figure is in the triple digits.
Even decades after his death, Ted Bundy’s murders continue to be adapted for the big screen in some form or another. Much is known about the guy who murdered young women and young girls; yet, less is known about his daughter, Rose Bundy.
Rose Bundy was born a few years before Ted Bundy was executed
Rose Bundy, the infamous killer’s only child, was born on October 24, 1982. There is almost no information available about where Carole gave birth to and reared Boone. Rose, who is now 40 years old, was born only a few years before Bundy received the death penalty. The killer’s child had no siblings because she was Ted Bundy’s first and only biological child.
She did, however, have a step-brother, Jayme, from her former relationship with her mother, Boone. Ted had obviously grown close to Boone’s son. The late Campus Killer was also a father figure to the daughter of his previous partner of seven years, Elizabeth Kloepfer.
Did Rose ever meet Ted Bundy?
Although it is unknown whether Rose remembers her late father, Ted, she did meet him as a child and even visited him on a regular basis.
Carole, Rose’s mother, reportedly took Rose and her stepbrother, Jayme to Ted on her visits to prison. The four even had a few family photos taken in the jail where Ted Bundy was spending his term.
Carole Ann Boone Conceived Rose While Ted Was In Prison; Is Rose Bundy’s Biological Child?
Rose Bundy’s birth is shrouded in mystery because Carole gave birth to her, or more specifically, conceived her while Bundy was still in prison. Carole and Ted also did not have a provision for conjugal visits. It is suspected, however, that Carole fell pregnant with Rose on one of her visits to Ted in prison.
While they did not have the option of Conjugal visits, according to Ann Rule’s 1980 biography of Bundy, The Stranger Beside Me, prisoners were prone to bribery and on occasion, they granted the convicts alone time with their female visitors.
Others believe Carole conceived Rose after she and Bundy exchanged an empty condom that was filled with a kiss during one of their prison visits.
Carole and Ted’s Relationship, Rose Bundy’s Parents
Carole Ann Boone, Rose’s mother, met Bundy while working at the Department of Emergency Services (DES) in Olympia, Washington in the summer of 1974. Boone had recently divorced her ex-husband and was raising her adolescent son James when she met Ted Bundy.
Carole Ann Boone was described as a “lusty-tempered free spirit” who was knowledgeable, humorous, and competent in her job at the time. Boone allegedly found the late convicted murderer charming and later claimed Bundy showed an early wish to date her.
Meanwhile, Bundy continued to date his current girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, as well as several other women, many of whom he later murdered. In February 1978, Bundy was arrested on charges of many kidnappings and killings. Bundy then faced a trial in Florida in 1979, during which he and Boone grew increasingly closer.
Boone, who was not yet pregnant with Rose at the time, relocated to Florida with her kid to be closer to Bundy. Carole and the University of Puget graduate have exchanged numerous letters between them.
Carole, Ted’s Mother, Married Ted During His Trial At The Court Boone and Bundy married during the latter’s trial after he used an obscure Florida law. A marriage proclamation in court in front of a judge constituted a legal marriage, according to the law. Bundy proposed to Carole on February 9, 1980, after she testified as a witness in the prosecution for Ted’s murder of Kimberly Leach. For years, it appeared that Boone truly believed in Bundy’s innocence.
Carole’s life was turned upside down when her daughter’s father finally confessed to his murders just before his execution. Boone then ceased contacting Ted.
Carole divorced Ted Bundy in the mid-1980s and then disappeared from the media
Boone divorced Ted three years before his execution and moved to Florida with Rose and James, her son from a previous relationship. She even failed to answer his phone call on the day of his execution and returned to Washington state with her daughter.

Ted Bundy, Rose’s father, was executed by electric chair on January 24, 1989. Rose’s mother vanished after the divorce and was barely mentioned in the press. According to reports, she altered her and her daughter’s names. Boone reportedly changed her name four times before returning to her hometown of Seattle. Then, in February 2019, Radar Online stated Carole died of septic shock in January 2018 at the age of 70. According to a former friend, Rose’s mother, Carole Ann Boone, was living under an assumed identity in her final days, had health problems, and checked into a retirement complex.
What Has Happened to Rose Bundy?
Rose Bundy, Ted and Carole’s only daughter, had been missing for years. It was understandable given her desire to escape the shadow of her murderous father. According to Ann Rule, author of The Stranger Beside Me, who also volunteered with Bundy at a suicide crisis hotline center, Rose had always lived away from the spotlight but was always doing well.
Rose, Ted’s daughter, was described by Rule as a lovely and clever woman. Even Rule had no idea where Rose and her mother were staying.
Rose Bundy Is Supposedly Living In England Under A New Name
For years, neither the public nor the media could track Rose’s location. Then, in March 2019, GLOBE revealed that Rose, the long-lost daughter of horrible serial killer Ted Bundy, was living the happy life in England under an assumed name. It had been more than a decade since she had moved to Europe.
Rose, Bundy’s look-alike child, was living as a suburban housewife and mother of three, according to GLOBE. Rose had also given herself the nickname Rosa. Carole’s daughter was said to be living with her husband and their three young children at the time, including a set of twins. Rose and her family were living in a picture-perfect English village on the outskirts of London. She was a full-time housewife and stay-at-home parent at the time.
Rosa traveled to England when she was 21 years old, according to GLOBE’s investigation in March 2019. Ted’s purported daughter, on the other hand, maintained contact with her late mother, who was residing in Seattle. Regardless, practically all news sources believe Rose is still alive and, presumably, doing well.
Is Rose Active on Social Media?
While Rose has been accused in recent years of being an English citizen seeking to live a normal life, it is unclear whether she has followed the modern trend of being on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Although there are a few photos of her from her youth on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, it has long been unknown if she herself chronicles her day-to-day on such platforms.
Trivia
