For others, it was a horrific crime, but for the renowned Nikko Jenkins, it was a holy sacrifice! Nikko Jenkins took the lives of four innocent people in ten days in August 2013.
But it was his confession as to why he committed those killings that shocked the globe. The infamous assassin said he was acting on the orders of an Egyptian god.
Is Nikko Jenkins Guided by Egyptian Deity or Not?

Jenkins has given the impression of being a devout follower of Egyptian gods since his first account with the investigators.
So much so that when questioned by police, he claimed he was being directed by Apophis, a legendary Egyptian god who represents chaos, darkness, and disorder.
During his conversations, he also babbled whispering sounds and incomprehensible languages, claiming to speak Ancient Egyptian.
As if that wasn’t enough, Nikko allegedly attempted to chop his genitals to resemble a serpent, much like Apophis. For the same reason, he attempted to slit his tongue.

His effort at self-mutilation, however, was futile, as all he achieved was a smear of blood on the walls of his prison cell.
Furthermore, in 2016, he carved “Hatshepsut,” an Egyptian queen’s name, and a chaos representation on his chest. He accomplished this by using three distinct colored customized pens.
While Jenkins claimed that the evil Egyptian deities guided him, his prosecutors and court observers claimed that he attempted to conceal his competency and avoid the death penalty.

His sister helped him with his Death
On July 30, 2013, Nikko Jenkins was freed from a 10-year jail sentence for two carjackings and attacks. However, after ten days of his release, he began stealing and killing people with the assistance of his sister, Erica.
Nikko robbed and killed two men on August 11: Juan Uribe-Pena and Jorge Cajiga-Ruizon. He murdered them with a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun and dumped their remains in a pickup truck in southeast Omaha. His sister was sentenced to 40 to 60 years in jail for her involvement in the robbery.
Then, eight days after the first offense, he discovered another victim – his former jail friend Curtis Bradford. This time, he and his sister lured Curtis, 22, to their car before shooting him in the head with a sawed-off shotgun and a pistol.
Jenkins continued the carjacking and killed the victim. On August 21, he grabbed a bartender named Andrea Kruger from her SUV and shot her four times before fleeing with her car.
He was arrested not long after Andrea’s murder. In September 2013, the killer eventually confessed to his atrocities, claiming that he was acting on the orders of Apophis.

Nikko Jenkins was Punished with a Death Sentence
Jenkins pleaded “no contest” to first-degree murder charges after being charged. As a result, he admitted to committing the acts but maintained that it was not his responsibility. In addition, he claimed to suffer from schizophrenia, bipolar illness, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Because of the aforementioned psychological issues, it was questioned whether he was competent to stand trial at all. As a result, the trial, which was slated for August 11, 2014, was postponed indefinitely.
Nonetheless, he was held at Lincoln jail under the supervision of psychologists to establish his competency.
Psychiatrists testified in 2017 that Jenkins was fit to face the punishment. They highlighted that despite having anti-social personality disorders, he recognized right from wrong, essentially holding him liable for the deaths he caused to his victims.
A three-judge panel sentenced him to death based on the testimony. In addition, he was sentenced to 450 years in jail for his actions.
