Reggie Watts’ Weight Loss Secrets: From Fat To Fit
Watts was not as trim as he is now before landing a gig on James Corden’s Late Late Show in 2014. Watts, as he puts it, was a victim of terrible eating habits.
In a May 2018 interview with GQ, he remarked that when he performs, he looks like he’s wearing a fat suit. He went on to say that his weight increase was most likely due to his extensive touring schedule.
In a fat costume, I felt like an in-shape person…
“Argh, I can move a lot better than that, and I can look a lot better than that,” I’d say.
He also told Men’s Journal’s J.R. Sullivan that whenever he felt low on energy or gloomy, he turned to food, believing that it would make him feel better. This finally led to him visiting hotel minibars, which made him feel even worse. The same was true when he visited his homeland of Brooklyn, which boasted a plethora of excellent restaurants.
Is it true that landing a job on The Late Late Show inspired Watts to get in shape?
Watts decided that he was tired of being overweight and wanted to change his appearance after landing a position on The Late Late Show and relocating to Los Angeles.
While the source of his commitment is unknown, one of the first changes he made to his lifestyle was to change his dietary habits. To do so, Watts began having his food delivered by Kore Kitchen, an organic meal delivery business based in Los Angeles. Baked chicken, steamed broccoli, fish, and wilted spinach were among his modular dinners.
Watts hired a nutritionist and hired a personal trainer in addition to modifying his diet. He collaborated with Jorgen de Mey, a personal trainer, and used a breakfast meal he developed.

“Just half a cup of water, half a cup of plain kefir, a cup of oats, one scoop of chocolate egg-white protein, and a handful of blueberries,”
Watts told GQ in August 2018 that he was hoping to achieve around 12 per cent body fat and get “very lean and cut,” even though he was only eight pounds away from his desired weight.
Watts, who is a marijuana supporter, included marijuana in his diet at the time. While looking for a product that didn’t give him food cravings, he discovered Mondo cannabis powder.
He says,
“It doesn’t give you the cravings; it just makes you feel groovy,”
