Sloane Stephens is an American Professional tennis player. She has won six WTA (Women Tennis Association) in total. Sloane was the 2017 US Open champion and gained a career-best ranking of No.3 in the world after Wimbledon in 2018. Moreover, the tennis player won Grand Slam Champion tennis player.

Sloane was born in Plantation, Florida, United States. She was born into an athletic background parent. Her father whose name is John Stephens was a professional American football player. John was selected in the first round of the 1988 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots and he was a back runner at Northwestern State University in Louisiana.

Sloane’s mother’s name is Sybil Smith who was the first American female swimmer to be named a first-team Division I All-American. Sloane has a younger half-brother whose name is Shawn Farrell. Shawn is a baseball and football player at Notre Dame High School outside of Los Angeles.

Sloane started her career by practicing tennis in Fresno, California when she was just 9 years old. She trained with her stepfather who was also a competitive tennis player. Later, she moved to Florida and got trained by Nick Saviano.

In the year 2007, she played her first career on ITF Circuit in Brazil. She won three out of four Grand slams girls doubles titles in 2010 alongside her partner Timea Babos.

In the year 2008, she played her first WTA after qualifying at Miami and US Open. She won one doubles title on ITF Circuit.

In the year 2009, She took participated in World Team Tennis as the New York Buzz member.

In the year 2010, Sloane Stephens was selected for the Indian Wells Open. She got victory upon Lucie Hradecka but lost with 12th seeded Vera Zyonerva. She ranked in the top 200 positioning at no. 198 from rank No. 802.

In the year 2011, She won her first professional singles title at the Camparini Gioielli Cup, an ITF $5oK event in Itlay. Stephen was awarded a wildcard into her first US Open main draw. In the year 2019, Stephens’s rank dropped from top 10 to top 20 in the world. But after 2018 WTA ranking points she fell out of the top 20 too.

In the year 2020, Stephens ranked No.26th in the world. She won her two opening matches in straight sets before losing in the third round to Serena Williams, third seed and six-time champion. She ranked No.39 in the world.
