Matt Rife is an American stand-up comedian and actor from Ohio. He started his career in stand-up comedy at the age of 15.

According to a March 5, 1997 obituary in the Columbus Dispatch, Michael Eric Gutzke, 21, died on March 3, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio and was the father of Matthew Steven Rife.

Rife was previously married to actress Kate Beckinsale. He now lives in Los Angeles, California.
