Kym Douglas Died of Cancer at The Age of 57
It was completely unknown to the rest of the world until the Michigan native summoned the courage to reveal her battle with stage zero cancer on Ellen DeGeneres’ show in April 2018. (18 October 2018).
She went on to say that she had to go through a series of chemotherapies in a symmetrical process to treat the disease, but that she was able to recover from it.
However, just as the doctors were about to complete the entire surgery procedure, a 1.5 cm tumor was discovered beneath her tough breast tissue, close to her ribs and heart.
To avoid any risk, Douglas, age 57, had to undergo a double mastectomy (surgery) on October 22, 2018, which was successful.
