Ospina has worked as a news reporter and weathercaster for Fox 11 Los Angeles since 2012. However, she departed the network in May 2019 to “start a new journey and a new profession in media relations.”
On her last day at Fox, May 26, 2019, she tweeted to thank all of her well-wishers and coworkers for their support over her lengthy journey.
“Last day in the studio,” wrote Ospina. “I’ve decided to go on a new adventure and have begun a new job in media relations.”
“I’ve decided to embark on a new journey and am starting a new job in media relations,” she added. “I’m excited about what’s to come, but I’m also grateful for the incredible chances I’ve had over the years, for all of your support, and for inviting me into your homes every week!”
She then joined CBS-owned KCAL 9 TV in Los Angeles, California, where she currently works as a weather forecaster.
Ospina’s career began with a job at a local radio station, and after several years of working at small stations, she moved on to KTLA in Los Angeles, where she spent six years as a reporter.
Not only has the weather forecaster worked for a news station in real life, but she has also appeared in multiple films as a reporter. She’s been in films including Drew Peterson: Untouchable and The Craigslist Killer.
