Matt Pinfield’s Career: 120 Minutes, MTV Debut, Now

Penfield, the human encyclopedia of music, got the Gavin Award for National Commercial Alternative Music Director of the Year in 1992 and 1993 for his decade-long employment as a DJ on WHTG-FM. Matt was never tired of learning after a successful start as a DJ host and decided to advance in his job.

His television career began in 1995 as a host for MTV’s 120 Minutes.

In a short period of time, he presented a number of MTV shows, leaving a lasting impression on each of them. His exceptional communication talents were rewarded with 100 MTV specials.

Pinfield left the WRXP station in July 2011 when it changed formats for its show 120 Minutes, which was eventually relaunched by MTV2. On July 31, 2011, he took over as host of the resurrected weekly series.

Survives a Horrible Car Accident

Matt was hit by a speeding car while crossing the street in Los Angeles on December 3, 2018. He was subsequently rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was treated for a broken leg that was shattered in two places. He sustained head lacerations that required numerous stitches. According to TMZ, the event was not a hit-and-run.

Matt underwent surgery, which was thankfully successful, and the former MTV host is now in stable condition. On December 6, 2018, he thanked all of his fans and followers for their support during difficult times in an Instagram post.

Matt’s healing is progressing, and the stitches on his head have been removed. He is pushing for a quick recovery through physical treatment. He has been out of the press since his horrific accident, but he is active on social media, updating his fans on his health and wishing them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
