The Professional Career of Jordan Rodgers

Jordan attended Butte College after graduating from high school and played quarterback there. But there he was, the backup quarterback, and in 2008, the group went 12-0 and won the junior college national championship. The following year, as a starter, Jordan set the school record for total offense by passing for 2219 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also received academic awards. He spent two years at BCC before transferring to Vanderbilt University. He did, however, give Western Kentucky University and the University of Kansas some thought before enrolling at VU.

Jordan started the 2011 season as the quarterback for the second team and finished the year with seven starts. In 216 attempts, he completed 108 throws for 1524 yards and nine touchdowns. By starting 11 games, Rodger became the first quarterback to guide the Commodores to back-to-back bowl trips with a 9-4 record. His quarterback numbers were also among the highest in Vanderbilt University’s history, with 2539 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 191 completions on 59.9% of his passes. In the victory for North Carolina State, Rodgers added a touchdown run and two touchdown passes. It was also the group’s seventh consecutive victory to end the season.
