In early 2021, John Mulaney and Anna Marie Tendler’s six-year marriage came to an end. The revelation was confirmed by Mulaney’s representative to Page Six.
However, even before the formal announcement, the comedian’s wife had offered many signals on social media about her disintegrating marriage. When she disabled her Instagram account, the rumor mill began to spin about their marriage.
Tendler’s Instagram account @amtendler had plenty of images with Mulaney before her Instagram hiatus. When she returned, though, her profile had been wiped clean of all signs of him. With a blank slate, she began posting about her Victorian lampshade artistic endeavor and other artworks on the network.
Deleted Instagram Pictures
She simply shared a picture of herself with a peace hand signal without explaining why. She disabled the account to focus on her art for a period, according to the caption. Mulaney relapsed into cocaine and alcohol addiction in December 2020, and although making a return, she deactivated her account @amtendler just before entering a Pennsylvania treatment.

The Couple Unfollowing Each Other
Mulaney and his wife unfollowed one other on Instagram months before their divorce was finalized. Tendler’s Instagram was devoid of her husband’s photos, and fans were quick to notice the change.
Tendler hasn’t deleted all of Mulaney’s photos, but he still has a few of her. One of the photos is dated 2013 when he proposed to Tendler. The photo was taken in May 2019 and depicts the couple in each other’s arms.
A month later, he highlighted his wife’s achievement is yet another significant post.

Mulaney made the Decision to Divorce
Mulaney’s admirers had assumed that their relationship as well because he still uploaded images of Tendler, albeit infrequently. All hopes, however, were dashed when the formal announcement announcing their divorce made it to Page Six.
Mulaney, according to the statement, was the one who asked for a divorce after his 60-day stay in treatment. The spokesman also stated that he will refrain from commenting on the subject to focus on his profession and come back.
Meanwhile, Tendler expressed her displeasure with the SNL writer’s decision through her publicist. She then wished him luck and encouragement as he pursued his goals.
