An investigation into the death of Blackie Fontana has been revealed.
How did Blackie Fontana die? He was shot in the 18800 block of Elizondo Street in the South San Jose Hills area of the San Gabriel Valley as reported by Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s Lt. Derrick Alfred.
Blackie Fontana isn’t a household name in the hip-hop world, but he was a rising star in the California independent scene. He’d released two albums and was gaining a following. Unfortunately, like many other hip-hop heroes before him, his career was cut short.

Blackie Fontana: Who Was He?
Roberto Diaz was born Blackie Fontana. While his rap career was based in Los Angeles and he was still relatively new to the scene, Blackie Fontana had released two albums in the previous two years—Hoodlum (2016) and Real One (2017). (2017). The songs of Blackie Fontana are about growing up in the neighbourhood.
While Blackie Fontana had a “gangsta” attitude, he also joked, laughed, and poked fun at himself on his Facebook page.

So, what happened to Blackie Fontana? It wouldn’t be the first time that rappers had a feud that resulted in gun violence. The truth is that the cops are looking at every possible angle.
Was this referring to Blackie Fontana or Romero? Was it related to why there was a small gathering in that neighbourhood, or were they just a group of friends getting together?
These are the questions that are being raised, but police are still attempting to piece together all of the clues and details from that night. And, unlike on television, real police work can take time. And unless someone comes forward with more information or a confession, this case could take a long time to solve or even go cold.
LA Country Sheriff’s reports
A fatal shooting was reported at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, according to police. A small crowd had gathered in the 18800 block of Elizondo Street at a residential cul-de-sac. This unincorporated county area is located between West Covina and Industry.
When deputies from Industry Station arrived on the scene, they discovered two victims, both of whom died at the scene. At the scene, Blackie Fontana was identified and pronounced dead in the driveway. He was 32 years old at the time.
A few days later, the second victim, 51-year-old Arthur Samuel Romero of Covina, was identified publicly.
