Wynton Marsalis, an American trumpeter and one of the most well-known living jazz performers, has had a colorful love life. He had a lot of fun with his various girlfriends and companions, but he never married.
His partnerships have led to his being the proud father of four children with whom he has a close relationship.
Timeline of Wynton Marsalis’ Relationships
After achieving popularity, the gifted composer was first linked to Candace Stanley, a computer scientist, from 1983 to 1991. They were together for nearly a decade but never married. Wynton Jr. and Simeon, their two kids, were born to them as a couple.
Years later, Marsalis entered into another relationship, this time with Victoria Rowell, widely known for her role as Drucilla Winters on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless.
They had a son named Jasper, who is also an actor, and their passionate relationship lasted for years. He was the trumpeter’s third kid and Rowell’s second. However, their bond did not survive long, and they eventually split ways. After her divorce from Marsalis, the actress married Radcliffe Bailey, a mixed-media artist, in 2009.
Marsalis has a daughter named Oni in addition to his three sons; nevertheless, the creative director of Jazz has not revealed the mother of his daughter.

His Relationship with His Children
Marsalis and his daughter, Oni, who appears to be in her early adolescence, performed together in New York City in December 2017 at the “Brooks Brothers Celebrate the Holidays with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital” event.
On that particular occasion, the jazz artist performed his instrument as his daughter took the stage. His eldest sons, Wynton Jr. and Simeon, who live nearby in New Rochelle, both play the piano and clarinet. Jasper, his youngest son, who lives in Los Angeles, is a pianist, trumpet player, and drummer.
In a 2003 interview with The Guardian, he was asked if he had ever encouraged his boys to pursue a career in music. “I don’t know if they’ll be musicians; I don’t attempt to push them,” he answered. He does, however, spend time with his boys and daughter, with whom he plays instruments and sings.

His Relationship Status Right Now
Returning to Marsalis’ romances, despite being in several relationships and having children, he never married, as far as anyone knows. And it’s still a wonder why he isn’t escalating the connections.
During the same interview with The Guardian, he remarked, “I never talk about (relationship) what I do.”
As a result, it’s unclear whether Marsalis has any intentions to marry shortly — or if he already has a wife who he’s kept hidden from the public eye.
Bio: ‘Grammy Award Winner’ Marsalis
Marsalis was born in New Orleans on October 18, 1961, to Ellis and Dolores Marsalis. His father was a musician and a music teacher. He was the second of six children born to his parents. Branford Marsalis, Jason Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis, Ellis Marsalis III, and Mboya Kenyatta Marsalis are his brothers, all of whom have made a name for themselves as musicians.
He went to Benjamin Franklin High School and then to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts to further his education. In 1979, he went to New York City to study at Juilliard. Meanwhile, at the age of seven, Marsalis gave his first public performance, performing ‘The Marine Hymn’ at the Xavier Junior School of Music.
He made history in 1983 when, at the age of 22, he became the first musician to win Grammy Awards for both jazz and classical recordings. Marsalis has won at least nine Grammy Awards to date.
