Arsenio Hall was born on February 12, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Fred and Anne Hall. Arsenio attended John F. Kennedy High School after graduating from Warrensville Heights High School in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.

The 62-year-old actor relocated to Chicago to pursue his dream of becoming a stand-up comedian, and it wasn’t long before he appeared on Soul Train. In 1984, he joined Alan Thicke’s chat show, Thicke of the Night, as an announcer.
