Adam Nielsen’s Parents: Father, Mother
Adam Reed Nielsen, who was born on October 14th, is from Layton, Utah. His mother’s name is Jeanette Nielsen and his father’s name is Mark Nielsen. He has three siblings.

Adam Nielsen’s Professional Career
Adam Nielsen is a Pianist in NYC, Artistic Director at Juilliard, Music Staff at The Metropolitan Opera, and a Head Coach at Académie du Festival d’Aix. Académie du Festival d’Aix has been a centre of excellence for the professional development of young opera artists since 1998.
He is a piano virtuoso who graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in piano performance, a master’s degree from The Juilliard School, and a PhD from Stony Brook University. He has been on the Juilliard faculty since 2011, and he is also on the Metropolitan Opera’s music staff.
Nielsen works at Juilliard’s Marcus Institute of Vocal Arts as a pianist, instructor, chorus master, and assistant conductor. He instructs undergraduate students in song and operatic repertoire as an associate artistic director of vocal arts.
He has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician. Likewise, he has performed with the St. Louis Symphony, Utah Symphony, Stony Brook Symphony, Fry Street Quartet, A Far Cry, and Windscape, among others.
Andres Cardenes, Tamara Mumford, Ryan Speedo Green, Simone Osborne, Davone Tines, Claire DeSevigne, and Ying Fang all performed with him in the recital. Nielsen frequently travels with performer LaBrie, with whom he collaborates.
He was one of the guests on the show, Good Morning America in February 2024 to promote his music.
