When most of us think of Rainn Wilson, we can’t help but think of Dwight Schrute. However, The Office’s star deserves to be recognized for both his philanthropy and his comedic acting. Wilson and his wife, Holiday Reinhorn, are using their time apart to do good by raising money for their charity.
This couple has been married for 25 years and has been together for three decades. And we can tell she likes The Office because she assisted in recreating the iconic wedding scene for John Krasinski’s YouTube series. Rainn Wilson’s wife certainly deserves the spotlight that we’ve given her in our Holiday Reinhorn wiki.
Holiday Reinhorn’s Father served in the United States Army
Holiday Reinhorn was born in Portland, Oregon on March 12, 1964. She and her sister, Amy Reinhorn, were raised in Portland but spent time abroad due to their father’s job.
Their mother was a schoolteacher, and their father was a dental student. He later became a dentist in the United States Army and was stationed overseas. As a result, the Reinhorns relocated to Japan, Guam, and the Philippines.
Mary Putka, Holiday and Amy’s mother, is currently based in Kalama, Washington. Putka, who is married to retired Judge Ed Putka, has previously served on the city council.
Wilson and Reinhorn are High School Sweethearts
Reinhorn was an aspiring actress who had enrolled in a University of Washington acting class. Rainn Wilson, a Seattle native, met her there.
Wilson reflected on his college experience, saying, “I had some really great professors and directors.” Sue-Ellen Case, a woman, was extremely helpful in my development as an actor. And I met my wife in her class, over there in Hutchinson Hall.”
On June 30, 1995, the couple married after five years of dating. The wedding took place on the Kalama River in Washington.
Walter McKenzie Wilson, their only child, was born on October 1, 2004.
Reinhorn is a Writer
Holiday Reinhorn wanted to be an actress at first, but she soon realized that writing was her true calling. Originally a stage actor, she is now a fiction writer best known for her short stories.
She enrolled in the MFA program at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop after graduating from the University of Washington in 1998.
