Elena Rybakina is a young athlete and  Russian Kazakhstani professional and skilled tennis player. On 10th January 2022, she is ranked no.13 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She made it up to eight finals during the WTA tour and won two titles, including three at WTA 500 level.

Elena Rybakina – Professional Career

Rybakina used to manage time for practice and competitions besides her school. She left the Dynamo Sports Club and joined the Spartak Tennis Club. She was trained with Andrey Chesnokov and Evgenia Kulikovskaya.

As there were a big number of trainees, she had to do the training in a group and had a certain amount of time for classes, about two hours per day. Anyway, Irina Kiseleva, a world World Championship gold medalist n the modern pentathlon was her fitness coach.

Elena Rybakina is an ex-world No.3 junior she made it between school and began playing the ITF Junio Circuit at the age of 14 on November 13. She had a victory at her second career event, the Grade-3 Almetievsk Cup.

At first,  her Grade-2 event was played in June, where she was the runner-up to compatriot Anna Blinkova at the Ozerov Cup in Moscow. At Second, she started playing Grade 1 events, however, she did not have any successful streak.

Rybakina started her Grand Slam debut in the year at the US-open, ending it in third place. After, the last loss at the Australian Open, She had a victory in a back-to-back Grade title. She made it to be runner-up and struggle with the junior grand slam and other events in the following year 2016.

She won the Grade A title at the Trofeo Bonfiglio over Iga Świątek which was the best result for in the same year. She finished her junior career being a part of Maiden ITF, Maiden WTA Finals, and other hands she played nationally and internationally.

Petersburg Ladies’ Trophy against Timea Bacsinszky. During her first, WTA  Rosmalen Grass Court Championship event she made it up to the first semifinal, but could not make it up to Wimbledon. She was counted in the world’s top 100 list at the age of 20. Ranking in no.65 she won the Bucharest Open defeating Patricia Maria Tig.

Though she lost in the first round she finish runner-up to Rebecca Peterson at the Jiangxi International Women’s Tennis Open. Rybakina finished her first career Premier-5 event at the Wuhan Open, making herself up to the quarter-final and ranked no 37 in the world ranking.

In 2020, she become a finalist and tied with another team. She was defeated by Ashleigh Barty in the Australian Open and Qatar open during the final. Later, she suffered from leg trouble due to an abductor strain. She wins over Zhang Shuai in her second WTA title at Hobart international.

She defeated Bernarda Pea and Greet Minnen at the Australian Open. She entered two Premier finals at the St Petersburg Trophy and the Dubai Championships. After that, she was listed as the first Kazakhstani player for making up to the top 20.

After the pandemic, she lost against Alexanorova at the Italian Open. Finally, she lost against Fiona Ferro during the second round at the French Open.
