The news of Carino and his fiancée’s split surfaced just when it appeared that they had discovered their lifelong love. In February 2019, the singer’s publicist revealed to People that she and Carino had broken up.
According to US Weekly, the singer provoked the breakup because she was unhappy with Carino’s treatment of her.
“Towards the conclusion of their [two-year] relationship, Chris didn’t treat Gaga very well,” an insider allegedly told the site.
