Maria Owings Shriver was born in Illinois on November 6, 1955, to Sargent and Eunice Kennedy Shriver. From 1968 to 1970, her father served as the United States Ambassador to France.

Maria’s Surprisingly Amicable Relationship With Her Ex-Husband
Maria was married to Austrian-American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is 70 years old, for more than two decades. The pair met for the first time in 1977 at a charity tennis tournament when NBC’s Tom Brokaw introduced them. They later began dating.
They married on April 26, 1986, in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Hyannis, after being together for nearly nine years. Katherine, Christina, Patrick, and Christopher are their two daughters and two sons.
Maria was also the First Lady of California from 2003 to 2011, when Arnold as Governor. However, Maria discovered that her husband had cheated on her and had even fathered an illegitimate son, Joseph, through an extramarital affair with the couple’s housekeeper, Mildred Baena.
